Hatched in 2011 as a non-traditional business award program celebrating entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry, The Wright today, at its core, is a community of doers. Those we celebrate are independent-minded men and women creating the products and experiences that draw us into the outdoors. The Wright brings together honest leaders, recognized for their contributions to their respective communities, and known to hold a deep-seated connection to place.

Since its inception, The Wright has had the privilege of highlighting 117 outdoor-inspired businesses representing 48 communities across four Rocky Mountain states. Each year, The Wright endeavors to select a dozen (give or take) companies from more than 100 peer-nominated businesses to join the accomplished and uplifting community of Contenders for The Wright Award. This award is presented annually as the cornerstone event of The Wright Summit, a 3-day symposium and award program showcasing real people, real work and real communities of the Rocky Mountain West and featuring panel discussions, workshops, a keynote speaker series and special events, The Summit culminates with the much-anticipated Award Night celebration recognizing the Contenders for the Wright Award.
