<image:caption>To ensure equitable access to the outdoor industry workforce, Basecamp Outdoor seeks to create an intentional, community-led partnerships program providing free access (scholarships) to the premium job-seeking environment in our new job board and matching tool! Our challenge is to develop a pilot program in Colorado by identifying underrepresented communities, partnering with grassroots organizations, and setting measurable goals for participation. The pilot will include creating a rubric to evaluate and select partners, establishing partnership benefits and responsibilities, and addressing sustainability through a business case analysis. By the end of the challenge, the goal is to launch at least one partnership with clear deliverables and develop a replicable framework for future collaborations.</image:caption>

Designed for children aged 15 mo to 6-yrs, our lightweight, compact tents provide a safe, familiar environment for families to explore the world together. Planning for a 2025 launch and Kickstarter campaign, we’re looking to develop a comprehensive marketing playbook. Including digital strategies, engagement tactics, outreach efforts, PR initiatives, and collaboration opportunities. This project invites Colorado students passionate about outdoor recreation to collaborate with a rural, sustainability-focused brand. Together, we’ll shape a dynamic roadmap to build momentum, connect with adventurous families, and make exploration more accessible for parents everywhere.</image:caption>

Membership growth has plateaued, and diversity remains limited. To continue leading trail and open space advocacy, we must attract younger, more diverse members who feel inspired to drive meaningful change. This project challenges participants to develop a forward-thinking blueprint to enhance membership perks, introduce groundbreaking initiatives. Additionally, a short-term communications plan will connect with younger audiences, and a framework will involve them in advocacy efforts. Operating as an all-volunteer team, LCSAR aims to enhance its fundraising efforts, particularly during the busy summer season. The objective is to develop an easy-to-execute strategy that yields results. However, the team encounters obstacles, such as limited bandwidth among members, diverse professional backgrounds, and a lack of fundraising expertise. Key considerations involve minimizing volunteer time and skill requirements, ensuring fundraising efforts emphasize LCSAR's value, and capitalizing on the summer influx of visitors. The primary goal is to create a plan and collateral, exploring various options like grant opportunities, race expos, and solicitation drives. Secondary goals include executing selected recommendations, such as creating branded swag for fundraising.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Outdoor Equity Grant Program (OEGP) looks to establish how Outdoor Retailers in Colorado can actively contribute to its mission of expanding outdoor access. The primary objective of this challenge is to formulate and implement an effective corporate giving plan, promoting collaboration with retailers for impactful contributions. Collaborating with students involves a few advisory meetings, culminating in a presentation at an OEGP Board meeting. A significant obstacle is ensuring the seamless implementation of the devised plan. Key considerations involve conducting surveys, interviewing stakeholders, and incorporating feedback from 1-3 Board members. The primary goal is to craft an implementation plan for soliciting donations, with secondary objectives focusing on presenting diverse options for corporate involvement.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Our challenge is to create a brand Ambassador Program to expand our brand's reach. The project would include market research on other ambassador and influencer programs to identify potential structures. Then, working with the Galena staff, we would refine the program's goals and develop the structure for a tiered influencer/ambassador approach. Implementation of the program would involve identifying ambassador groups, creating an application process, and a rubric for evaluating applicants. Mid-way through the semester, the program would be implemented so that the team could evaluate the program's initial impact by the end of the semester.</image:caption>

To address this, the company aims to establish an affiliate partnership program, rewarding partners like visitor bureaus, outdoor brands, influencers, and non-profits with commissions for promoting TripOutside to their audiences. Operating with a limited team, TripOutside seeks assistance creating and launching the program by developing a detailed playbook covering outreach, onboarding, terms, and payouts. The primary goal is to design a concept and playbook for a successful affiliate partnership program focusing on increasing awareness and bookings. Seeking a low-cost ski storage solution for its 14-passenger buses, the objective is to create an organized, secure, and removable system accommodating 15 pairs of skis and poles. The challenge involves innovatively optimizing loading and unloading efficiency while considering cost-effectiveness. Key considerations include securing skis during transit, ensuring accessibility, and fitting within the vehicle's space. The primary goal is to align with the company's commitment to sustainability and local partnerships to develop packaging mockups, define branding elements, and estimate startup costs. The founders, Erin and Sarah, juggle the startup alongside full-time jobs, encountering time constraints, especially during the demanding spring sheep shearing season. Lacking experience in supply chain and packaging, they are open to mentorship through their networks. Key considerations include prioritizing sustainable, preferably compostable materials, establishing local waste wool suppliers in Colorado, and ensuring cost-effective and easy-to-handle packaging options.</image:caption>

Incapable hikers sometimes require rescue, and litter mars the trail. The proposed solution involves creating an Incline Ambassador program to enhance safety, protect the trail, and improve the user experience. The objective is to design a program with best practices, attracting volunteers and securing funding. Understanding the passionate, dedicated user base is key, as is formalizing the informal assistance already provided.
